It's Monday
I've successfully managed to avoid this topic all weekend. I've even managed to not think about it very much. I had to because, as I told my Mom on Friday, there's no point in thinking about all weekend because you can do anything about it 'til Monday anyway. If I thought about it, I'd obsess over it.
The "it" is the lump my Mom found in her breast. It's been 8 years since the last time. In May she had mammogram, which was normal. But Friday she said "I'm going to have to call (the doctor) soon. I have a lump." I said "Not soon. Now!" She called. The appointment is for 11:45 today.
Now I can start obsessing, while I stay strong for her. It won't be easy.
