Splendor in the Grass is on the list because it's the best teen-angst movie ever, in my opinion. I have a couple of favorite scenes. The first is when Deanie assures her mother she's still a virgin. The other is at the end when Deanie realizes she's better off without Bud, although she'll probably always love him. I can relate.
There are so many funny lines in Steel Magnolias that I couldn't even begin to pick my favorite. I think the tagline for the movie says it all. "The funniest movie ever to make you cry."
