Earth, water, air and fire — the four elements of Greek philosophy. Which element do you feel most fuels your spirit? Why? Of course, astrology and other fields "assign" elements to people based on their birthdate or other criteria, but independent of what an expert or ancient chart might say, what does your heart say?
Compare your traits to those of your element, literal or perhaps metaphysical. In the classic sense, for example, earth is physical, water is emotion, air is intellect, and fire is instinct or intuition.
Interesting question. I'm a Virgo so Earth is supposed to be my element but I feel water fuels my spirit more. Whenever I'm around water, especially the ocean, I feel at peace but energized, if that makes sense. I get most of my inspiration when I'm around water of some kind ... even rain believe it or not. I sleep better when it's raining, too.
This site, in a nutshell, says Virgos are practical, realistic, down-to-earth, not easily side-tracked. That is so not me! It also says Water signs are dreamers, good-natured, introverted, quiet, contemplative ... Now that is me. Weird, huh?
